Family Education

Our Program

It is never to early to begin your child’s Jewish education.  Most of our Young Family experiences are open – drop on by!  Check the calendar for times and specific events, or sign-up for e-mail notices of upcoming events.

Cuddle Up Shabbat – Where else can you welcome Shabbat with Kermit, Elmo and our own Jon Nelson?  Put on your PJs and join us for songs, stories and prayerful moments.

Landers Playspace – a great place to spend Shabbat afternoon.  The kids play while you meet other adults just to schmooze or to take part in an informal adult learning opportunity.

Childrens’ Kiddush – at KI we even make Kiddush easy for families.  At our weekly Congregational Kiddush you’ll find  special seating for your children.

Little Hands- Keep your child’s ‘Little Hands’ engaged in Jewish learning while you meet other young families.  Widen your opportunities for Jewish living & belonging.   Each program is designed to engage your child’s ‘little hands’ in Jewish learning:

  • Rock & Roll, a weekday morning stroller group
  • Shabbat Shalom Playgroup (for more information contact Hope Canonico )
  • Story Hours with local Authors at Magic Beans
  • Mommy, Music, Movement and Me
  • Nitzanim Shabbat Morning Experience
  • Sing-a-long with Jon Nelson of Yom Hadash
  • Cuddle Up Shabbat (for more information contact Jennifer Rudin. )

This presentation will not only analyze examples from the media, but it will also focus on strategies of how to respond when there are media inaccuracies and distortions. Admission is free of charge.
