Community Learning

Torah is more than an intellectual exercise. It is at the core of our identity as Jews. By studying sacred sources, we study all human experience; in the dynamic interaction between the text and the reader we uncover the sacredness within ourselves and those around us. Torah becomes a personal resource, ever fresh, relevant and nurturing.

At KI, our community of learners strives to realize a Judaism that is accepting, wise, morally powerful and intellectually alive–one that appreciates questions, embraces complexity, and affirms life.

Whatever path you are traveling on your personal Jewish journey, we are here to support you, through prayerful moments in daily minyan, through recognition and participation  in the milestones of your life, and through Torah study that will change your mind as it allows your heart and soul to soar.

Experience the joy of discovery, the excitement of exploration, and the delight of encountering classical sources, through life-long learning at KI.

There are many doors to starting to learn at KI…

 -          as a young family, introduce your children to our “Little Hands” program,

-          or  enroll them in our Nursery School,

-          If it’s time for a bar or bat mitzvah in your family, review our B’nei Mitzvot program.

-          If you’re coming to learning as an adult, read through our Adult Learning section to discover the many programs we have available.

-          Or call and ask about a One-to-One contact. We’ll sit down with you and discuss your interests and help map out the next step in your journey—whether it’s Israeli dancing or a class on Shabbat prayer, there’s something for you at KI.

There are always new opportunities to learn at KI.
