Extended Day Programs are not available for Toddler enrollment.

Our Extended Day Program focuses on enrichment and socialization for our preschool children between 2.9 – 5 years of age. It offers children additional opportunities to play with their peers in a warm and inviting environment under the supervision of our skilled and capable staff members.

The Early Birds meet daily from 8 AM to 9 AM. The program is designed to meet the needs of parents who have an early start in the morning. It is a relaxed beginning of the school day for the children. Children from the three preschool classes join together for this program, which is staffed by one of our lead teachers.

The Lunch Bunch program (12 noon to 2 PM) is a terrific way for children to continue the friendships developed in the morning program and to grow their social skills. The afternoon begins with lunch, brought from home, which affords children and teachers special time to interact socially and enjoy each other’s company. (The Massachusetts Department of Public Health recommends that a pre-school child have a serving of fresh fruit, a fresh vegetable, milk or milk product (if vegan some kind of soy product), a fish, egg or beans serving at lunch. Rest time follows, with children relaxing in a quiet atmosphere. The program provides fun-filled learning experiences to enhance the children’s overall growth. Activities often include drama, arts and crafts, stories, games, nature walks, and daily outdoor play. It is strongly recommended that at least two extended days per week be selected in order to ensure a sense of continuity for the child. Most children can handle the full extended day program exceptionally well and thrive in it.

On two of the five Lunch Bunch days we provide special activities. On Mondays we offer an Enrichment Program (12 noon to 2 PM), which are theme-oriented six week sessions. Children can get a taste of the Lunch Bunch program by joining this group. On Fridays we offer a Creative Arts Program.

Three days a week we offer an After School Club (2-3:15 PM) for the older children. These programs specialize in teaching specific skills, having fun, and working as a team.

KI Kicks, returning for its second year, is our mini-sports program, focusing on sports and sports skills. It meets on Mondays from 2-3:15 PM. Only Parparim and G’malim children may enroll.

KI Cooks, is a NEW PROGRAM that meets on Tuesdays, 2-3:15 PM. Measuring, mixing, and cooking are all the right ingredients for the KI Cooks program. During the program we will experiment with both hot and cold recipes. After experimenting with a bit of science and math, we will not only be able to enjoy our tasty treat but gain a great sense of accomplishment. Only Parparim and G’malim children may enroll.

KI Scientists, is a NEW PROGRAM that meets on Thursdays, 2-3:15 PM. As KI Scientists, the children will learn about different scientific properties, how to make scientific predictions, and what happens when we run simple hands-on science experiments. Themes may include the phases of the moon, gravity, volcanoes, nature, magic, or objects that sink or float, among others. Only Parparim and G’malim children may enroll.
